Early on May 3, Saturn ends it's backwards movement heralding "happy days" for all Cancerians who can now begin to forge ahead from Saturn's lessons learned over the past few months.

Monday May 5 at 9.52pm there is a New Moon in Taurus. This will be a time of planting the seeds to a new outlook on your body, money and earth consciousness.

Mark Sunday May 11 in your calendars and take particular note of what issues come up in your life on and around this day. The reason being that this day marks the point at which the upcoming Mercury retrograde will hark back to as it's key theme later on in the month.

The Full Moon in Scorpio takes place on Monday May 19 at 11.40pm. This is the second consecutive full moon in Scorpio, the second "truth" moon in a row. So all those issues that were brought up or not settled from last moth's full moon can now be aired and finally released and most of all "accepted". This is a POWERFUL time. Use it wisely.

On Wednesday May 21 the sun enters Gemini as we welcome in a very different energy for the next four weeks. Communication will be the key theme as we are being asked to express our souls through the energy of our voices.

The month's action concludes on Tuesday May 27 with Mercury's retrograde movement in Gemini. This is Mercury's second backwards movement for the year and for the next three weeks we get to go over old ground relating to how we communicate at the very core of our being. To know what issues you will be dealing with over this retrograde period go back to your diaries and see what was happening on May 11. This will be the indicator of what you are working on for the next three weeks. Mercury retrograde is a powerful period to cut away unhealthy ties in your life and clear the way for concise communication, brightening your energy centres with newfound clarity.

Q. "I live in a fast paced city and sometimes it is so hard for me to connect with my inner peaceful self. Do you have any tips for how I can keep my cool with so much activity going on around me? Cathy, Hong Kong

A. It is an interesting fact that there are more people alive today on this planet than have ever been in our entire accepted history. So what does this mean for us? For one thing it means that every day is an opportunity for our accelerated growth and extension of the soul. In days of old when we didn't have the population numbers to rub up against that we do now, we had to be fortunate enough to be selected to go into Mystery Schools, where we would learn the truths of the universe and our place in it. Teaching would take place in these secret schools over several years and less than 10% of initiates ever graduated. Nowadays we are living Initiation every day by virtue of living in crowded cities where we are bombarded with opportunities for growth given to us by the people and situations all around us. We didn't have this opportunity thousands of years ago on earth. So we have chosen to be where we are at this point in our evolution. We don't have to take ourselves off to mountaintops anymore to become enlightened and move through lifetimes of karma. Realising your spiritual essence whilst maintaining a physical existence in a vastly populated world is the best recipe I know for moving through lifetimes of karma quickly and efficiently. See each day as an opportunity to shed cellular memories of old that keep us from realising our true soul essence. Living in Hong Kong you must have chosen to learn many lessons quickly and to release many old patterns this lifetime. Once you believe you have understood this then you will be free anywhere you choose to live on this planet and beyond. Embrace your situation and look for the beauty amidst the chaos and hence welcome in enlightenment.
